Company Profile

Pacific Reman Centre has been producing and supplying quality remanufactured components since the early 1940’s. The company started its Chrysler affiliation with the original owners, Begg Motor Company Ltd. Begg Motors was purchased in 1969 and operated as Concord Industries until 1976 when it was purchased by the present parent company, Vulcan Automotive.

Over this period of time, Pacific Reman Centre (PRC), supplied quality Chrysler Authorized Remanufactured products to the Chrysler dealers of British Columbia as a member of the Canadian Chrysler Authorized Remanufacturing Centers.

On December 31st, 2000, DaimlerChrysler ended its contractual agreements with the Canadian Remanufacturers. This move has permitted the implementation of broader products objectives and an expanded customer and dealer network outside of B.C.

In 2001 PRC opened warehouses in Edmonton, Alberta, and Brampton Ontario, in order to offer full service to the other provinces.

Parent Company

Vulcan Automotive Equipment Ltd. has been an automotive remanufacturer for over fifty years. It began as an OEM Authorized remanufacturer for Ford Motor Company, and subsequently for Chrysler and General Motors. The commitment to produce only products of the highest quality spearheaded Vulcan Automotive to achieve QS9000 self-certification, Ford Motor Company Q1 certification and the General Motors Mark of Excellence quality awards.

The main engine manufacturing plant is a modern 45,000 sq. ft. facility with a current capacity of 25+ engines per day. The line of engines remanufactured include everything from a 1.0 litre Suzuki to a mid range 7.8 litre diesel. The high quality of these engines prompted their use by some OEM’s in new vehicle warranty repairs. A staff of 60 people in our Annacis facility, including licensed machinists, mechanics, and mechanical and electrical engineering staff offer a large skilled knowledge base from which to draw. An engine dynamometer test room is available on site, capable of handling units in excess of 1,000 hp and 1,500 ft. lbs. of torque.

Our current customer base includes automotive dealers, diesel repair and fuel shops, and marine dealers worldwide. Through ought our various divisions we supply “special markets requirement” customers worldwide with a wide range of alternate fuel technology products.

Within our Annacis facility we also have our industrial products company, Industrial Engines Limited: (www.industrialengines.ca). Their niche is servicing the gas, oil, rental, construction, mining, drilling and forest industry.

ADP Distributors Inc., (www.adpdistributors.com) a subsidiary of Vulcan Automotive Equipment Ltd., is the largest aftermarket turbocharger company in North America. ADP also distributes superchargers, fuel parts, filtration (e.g. Racor), engine parts (FP and Clevite), engines, and numerous other lines. They have facilities in Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle and Los Angeles USA.
